When & how to apply

Grant rounds

A minimum of two Healthy Communities grant rounds are run each year. During each round, eligible community organisations can apply for funding to deliver health-promoting, wellbeing-focused, and community-strengthening activities across the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area (NPA).

Late applications

Applications must be submitted before the stated closing time.

If unavoidable circumstances arise, you may request an extension before the closing date.

Extensions are not guaranteed and are granted only in exceptional situations.

All Healthy Communities grant applications must be submitted through our online application portal.

You will need access to a computer or smart device and an internet connection.

For a strong application, we recommend you gather the following:

  • Project description

  • Budget

  • Responses to assessment criteria

  • Supporting documentation

  • Required key information as per applicant checklist
